Val D'Isere is generally regarded as one of the top 5 skiing destinations in Europe, in its favour is its great snow record, its height and the long season which runs from November through to May. Val D'Isere is excellently linked with Tignes, making up the Espace Killy region. With over 300km of piste there is more than ample amounts of slopes to get stuck into. The town is also a very pleasant place to be with its traditional style and good range of nocturnal haunts.

The lift system in Val D'Isere is efficient and fast with two high speed funiculars, lots of chairlifts and a free bus service that runs between each of the areas at valley level. Advanced and intermediate standards are spoilt for choice with unlimited off piste and a wide range of runs. Beginners don't fair as well but there are quite a few easy slopes to get stuck into.
